AUTO MAGAZINE PUBLISHER

GKV Architects recently completed the design of a 20,000 square foot office space for a major auto magazine publisher in the heart of midtown Manhattan. The design of the interiors was inspired by the imagery of the open road: curvilinear super highways, clover leaves, verdant traffic berms, and details of automobile design.  Oversized suspended discs of moss, suspended above the lounge and open work area reflect that imagery and provide a symbol of a greener future for automobiles and the planet. The preserved moss elements conform to requirements within the WELL Building Standard, a performance based system that measures impact on human health and wellbeing.
