GKV Architects provided interior architectural design for Capitol Rose, a 158-unit luxury apartment building near Dupont Circle in Washington, DC. Drawing inspiration from the surrounding Neoclassical and Federal architecture, the interiors reinterpret traditional materials and detailing through a contemporary lens. The scope included the design of the residential units, lobby, corridors, reception, amenity spaces, coffee lounge, and rooftop terrace. Rich finishes, including Venetian plaster, marble, and antique bronze, establish a refined aesthetic, while custom lighting, carefully crafted gathering spaces, and panoramic rooftop amenities create an elevated residential experience that complements the building's distinguished historic setting.
