A new 12-story residential building with 148 units will be built in downtown Providence, Rhode Island and will become the city's first modular building. Each modular unit will be prefabricated overseas and then shipped to site for quick assembly. The ground floor will be built using conventional construction techniques and act as a podium for the nodules to be stacked on top of. The ground floor will also feature a coffee bar in the lobby lounge and large retail space. The building's architectural finishes will include blackened steel, glass-paver balconies, and earthen-red accents.
