Palmer Residence

Washington, D.C.

2,000 square feet

The Palmer residence is a 19th-century Victorian row house located in Washington, D.C. that had been poorly remodeled in the 1960s, with most of its original details removed. The interior required a gut renovation and features a Federal-style design while the exterior façade is restored with its original brickwork. The residence includes an entrance hall, a living room, a dining room, kitchen, a guestroom suite and a master suite with a library, a bedroom and a master bath. This project was designed by the principals of GKV Architects while they served as principals of KPF Interior Architects.
